IV therapy delivers fluids, electrolytes, and vitamins through a small catheter in your arm, so they go straight into your bloodstream instead of through digestion. At AZ Vitality and Wellness in Peoria, a nurse practitioner places every IV, most drips take 30 to 60 minutes, and a hydration IV is $99.
It’s 112 degrees in July. You’ve been outside since six, you’ve been drinking water all day, and you still feel wrung out. That’s the appointment we see most often at our Happy Valley Road clinic, and it’s a fair place to start: fluids delivered straight into the bloodstream rehydrate you faster than a bottle of water can.
Below is a straight account of what we offer, what it costs, how long it takes, who places the IV, and where the evidence is solid versus still thin. If you’d rather talk it through, call or text us at 602-540-3547.
The basics
What Is IV Therapy and How Does It Work?
IV therapy delivers fluids, electrolytes, vitamins, and minerals through a small catheter placed in a vein in your arm. You sit in a recliner the whole time, and most sessions last 30 to 60 minutes depending on the drip.
Because an IV goes straight into the bloodstream, it skips digestion. For fluids, that means you rehydrate faster than you would by drinking water. For vitamins, absorption is more complete than with a pill, but for healthy people who eat a normal diet, that difference hasn’t been shown to produce a measurable health benefit.
IV nutrients make the most sense when you have a documented deficiency or an absorption problem, which is part of why we run labs before recommending a series of anything.

Every IV starts with 1,000 mL of saline, and your nurse practitioner helps you choose what goes in it.
Add-on vitamin pushes are $25 each, and package pricing is available for a planned series.

IV Drip, Vitamin Shot, or Electrolyte Drink: Which Do You Need?
If you’re dehydrated, choose the IV. If you want a B12 or lipotropic shot on your way to work, choose the injection. If you’re only a little behind on fluids and can keep them down, an electrolyte drink and some shade may be all you need.
Wellness shot bar
Vitamin Shots at Our Peoria Shot Bar
A vitamin shot is a quick injection, usually into a muscle, that takes about five minutes and delivers one targeted nutrient or blend. No IV line, no recliner.
Your first visit
What to Expect at Your First IV Appointment
Plan on about an hour and a half for your first visit.
Book your visit
Choose “IV Therapy Visit” when you book online (there’s a separate NAD+ visit), or call or text us at 602-540-3547.
A short intake
About 15 minutes with your nurse practitioner on your health history, medications, and what you want out of the visit.
Pick your drip together
If your goals point to a deficiency rather than a one-off need, we’ll suggest labs first instead of guessing.
Your NP places the line
Settle into a recliner. Most people read, work, or nap. Nervous about needles? Tell us at check-in and we’ll take it slow.
Back to your day
You can eat beforehand and drive afterward. Hydration effects usually show up before you leave.
Safety
Is IV Therapy Safe? Who Places Your IV
IV therapy is generally well tolerated in healthy adults. The real risks are procedural: bruising or irritation where the line goes in, vein inflammation, and the one that matters most, infection from non-sterile technique or an improperly prepared product.
It’s a real problem in this industry, and it’s fair to ask any clinic about it before you sit down.
At AZ Vitality and Wellness, a nurse practitioner places every IV, and our compounded products come from a licensed compounding pharmacy.

How Much Does IV Therapy Cost in Peoria?

IV Therapy Near Peoria, Glendale, Surprise, and the West Valley
We’re at 7984 W Happy Valley Rd., Suite 115, Peoria, AZ 85383, just off the Happy Valley and Lake Pleasant Parkway corridor. It’s about 15 minutes from Vistancia, 20 to 30 minutes from Surprise, 12 minutes from Arrowhead in Glendale, and a straight shot down the 303 from Lake Pleasant.
Summer is our busiest IV season for a reason. Valley residents underestimate how much fluid a 110-degree week costs them, and the people we see most from June through September are outdoor workers, hikers coming off West Valley trails, and parents running kids between practices.
